Downwood is home to 15 luxury holiday lets, ranging from our impressive 8-bed Manor House to more intimate hideaways for two. We also have a very special beach retreat at Sandbanks. The Manor House is perfect for group gatherings and special celebrations, including weddings. It can be booked on its own, or with our other properties for larger groups of guests. We also have several unique and quirky self-catering properties, including a treehouse and a converted stable. Ten of our properties have their own private hot tub and most of them are dog-friendly too.

Me and my boyfriend went for a two night stay for valentines and everything was perfect. The room was clean on arrival, with towels and robes laid on the bed. The hot tub was pre-heated on arrival which was lovely so we could use straight away. The garden was very secure for our dog and the grounds and woodlands in the area were beautiful for walks. The host was so attentive and helpful, always happy to answer any questions and also gave us so many recommendations for restaurants and things to do. 10/10 stay, what a peaceful stay :)

Although our booking was until the following day, we left early because the property was not clean or suitable to stay in. There were large spiders, cobwebs, and a significant ladybird infestation. The insects were crawling throughout the studio, covering the TV and gathering around the lights, making it impossible to relax. I also experienced an allergic reaction during the night, waking up with swollen eyes, which was especially concerning as I am five months pregnant. Overall, we found the accommodation to be unclean and not habitable, and we were very disappointed with our experience.

It was lovely, very nice little cottage and was clean and tidy, we cooked there and the only thing missing was some scissors but other than that it was a great place to stay. the only thing that stopped this from being 5 stars is the lack of things to do in the area, i think it’s really let down by how little attractions there are.

     Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We stayed in Copperbeech House for 3D2N. It was a lovely hut, far from the noise of the roads, yet still safe and secure. You can hear the relaxing sound of the birds and the wind breeze. Hot tub was an amazing asset to the property. The host was very accomodating which was a bonus! 😃 nothing was too much trouble. The only issue was the odd flooring in the shower/toilet. It creates a little puddle right by the shower cabin. It didn't directly affect our stay, but it might just be worth looking into to prevent damage to the property. 100% will stay again 😊

     Verified Our stay was beautiful, secluded and was great to have our own space. The hot tub was ready to go as soon as we got there along with a BBQ. The hedges could have done with a cut back to help with a better view as it doesn’t really look like the view on the listing. However the host is very reachable and the grounds are lovely, plenty of spots to chill and have a picnic. I would advise having a car for this location to get around. Overall a relaxing and much needed break, very glad we chose this place.

It was so clean & had everything you could wish for. Thankyou for the Tea & Coffee. Grace the host was so so helpful. We used the Hot Tub upon arrival, very clean & perfect location The surroundings were so quiet. It was a great base to go off & explore Dorset & further! Would highly recommend!      Verified My husband and I absolutely loved our stay in the art studio! We stayed for two nights and had such a wonderful, relaxing time. The place was spotless, beautifully secluded, and felt really romantic — perfect for a peaceful getaway. The grounds are stunning! The hot tub was amazing and definitely one of our favourite parts of the trip! The location was also fantastic, with both Swanage and Corfe Castle just a short drive away, which were lovely to explore.
